Planting trees one placement at a time.

In our first year of operation, we’re proud to say this commitment has already begun to take root. Through the roles we’ve helped fill across Western Australia, 86 trees have been planted. Each tree represents not just a successful placement, but also a small contribution toward protecting and restoring the natural landscapes that make Australia unique.

Australia is home to some of the most remarkable biodiversity in the world. Many native species rely on healthy ecosystems to survive, yet these environments continue to face pressure from urban expansion, land clearing, and climate change. Reforestation is one of the most effective ways to help restore balance—rebuilding habitats, supporting wildlife, improving soil health, and capturing carbon from the atmosphere.

To ensure our tree-planting commitment delivers real impact, we’ve partnered with Trillion Trees Australia, a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to large-scale reforestation and environmental restoration. Through this partnership, every tree funded by our placements supports local canopy growth and native reforestation projects here in Perth and the southwest of Western Australia.

This year, many of our trees are being planted at Guildford Meadows within Whiteman Park. The site is an environmentally significant area within the Perth metropolitan region and provides important habitat for threatened native wildlife.

One of the species that relies on this habitat is the Carnaby’s Black Cockatoo, an iconic bird native to southwestern Australia. These cockatoos depend on mature native forests for nesting hollows and food sources, making habitat restoration projects like this critical for their long-term survival.

Guildford Meadows is also home to culturally significant registered sites connected to the local Noongar people, the Traditional Custodians of the land. Supporting restoration in areas like this not only protects biodiversity but also helps preserve landscapes with deep cultural and historical meaning.

Planting 86 trees in our first year may seem like a modest beginning, but meaningful change often starts with simple commitments that are consistently upheld. Every placement we make contributes directly to this initiative, linking career growth with environmental restoration.

As CAST Recruitment continues to grow, so too will the number of trees planted. What starts as dozens of trees today can become hundreds or even thousands in the years ahead—helping rebuild habitats and support Australian wildlife for generations to come.

This initiative is something that sits very close to the heart of our team. We’re proud to play our part in protecting the environment while supporting businesses and individuals across Western Australia.

As a business working predominantly in the property sector, we believe it’s important to give something back to the natural environments that make development possible. If you and your team are looking to give back in a new way, we highly recommend looking at Trillion Trees Australia and learning the different ways we can support our environment.
